Are you interested in joining the league of Superheroes but aren’t sure where to start? Or if you’d fit in?

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes and we are happy to welcome any potential new members who share our love of supporting local children's charities through cosplay!

TLOSH focuses on characters from comic books (and their movie counter parts) and story book character. We want to make each experience the most real for everyone we meet so we strive for accuracy. We also look for colorful character, (preferably recognizable) and ABSOLUTELY NO CLOSET COSPLAY OR PARTY STORE COSTUMES. Your heroes must have a distinct feature that sets them apart. This can be something as simple as a hand prop or a full costume with mask and cape We would be happy to help you explore a costume that you are passionate about and you'd feel comfortable in and provide guidance on how to construct it. Our volunteer appearances are family friendly events, so we avoid costumes that are overly violent, scary, obscure, etc so please keep that in mind when choosing your character. Companion characters are welcome but must appear at events with the character from that movie/book so that they are easily recognized.

Ready to join?
You will need to submit the following photos to us via email or Facebook messenger:
1. Full body front
2. Full body back
3. Full body side
4. Any props (photographed separately)
5. Reference photos of the character you are cosplaying (of the same version of the character when it applies)
We are always more than happy to provide feedback, as well as ideas/tips/advice on how to give your cosplay that extra little ‘oomph’

Want to get involved by aren't ready to invest in a cosplay yet?
You are welcome to drop by one of our public appearances and events and come say hi. You'll be able to observe us doing our thing and see if that's something you could see yourself doing. We also occasionally look for extra hands around our booth at big events such as Ottawa Comiccon, contact us if you are interested in volunteering as a handler (assist at the booth, help the good flow of visitors...) or even photographer (some experience preferred).
